Conflict does not automatically mean a relationship is failing. What matters is whether both people are willing to slow down, take responsibility, and repair what was hurt.
Return when you are calm
Take enough space to think clearly, but do not use silence as punishment. A good repair conversation needs room for both people to feel safe.
Own your part specifically
Replace a vague apology with a clear one. Name what you said or did, acknowledge the impact, and avoid adding a defense to the end.
Agree on one change
Choose a small action you can both practice next time. Repair becomes real when it changes what happens after the conversation.
